One: Purple.
Is my favourite colour, all shades, especially into dark inky blue.
I like it in clothes, it offsets the haggard grey rings under my eyes rather well - but I do have to keep reminding myself to be cautious...
A bold purple kaftan for example, looked fabulous in the shop recently, but back home morphed scarily into a stylish archbishop's cassock, shiver!

Is an artist I love. He can have a magical dreamlike quality... Haphazard? Naive perhaps? Hmm. I do like his paintings - I've had a picture of this for ever: The Blue Violinist
- Inspiring!
Three: Anglo-Saxon
Is a language I have learnt. It has not come in useful at all so far.
But there's still plenty of time, I'm optimistic!
Four: Playing the Piano
Is something I do, dreadfully - and I mean it's REALLY REALLY AWFUL!! - even my kids are embarrassed - still, I go for it, with enthusiasm -
Five: Cadbury's Chocolate
I eat it... Just adorable...
Six: A Catholic Education
Yes. A character building experience.
I think I would have been left-handed if Sister Marie-Therese hadn't "made" me right-handed, aged four. Fear of an angry nun, as we all know, is a powerful thing...
(This isn't her, obviously.)
I have forgiven you of course SM-T, as a good Catholic should, well, kind of forgiven?!
That's me in 6 daft strokes... I won't tag anyone, but if you would like it, you may have it, with pleasure!

I do hate being a nag, but as soon as I got word that you were in Compliance (how's that for a Catholic School Education word?) I hurried over and you are so good at this tag thing...I don't know what you were dreading, and not blogging since May 19th is just not going to be tolerated, Missy...that was my very best Sister Alma Marita voice...she tried to teach me Latin...tried being the operative word. Now I say thank you I loved this...and please don't be away so long...
Sandi
Ah Sandi - So you're a Catholic too, I might have guessed.
Yes, thanks for this and well I am a hopeless blogger - Sorry! I bet you can still conjugate and decline in Latin all the same - hmm? Some things stick for life. Like goodness hey :)
I've already got this tag. I've been hanging on to it, for a while. I want to use photos, in an effort to try and make it interesting, but I always struggle with them and it takes ages for me to do the post. I need to knuckle down!
Anyway, I thought yours was just great. Interesting, well set out and good pictures!
Ah thanks MM - I still remember your tea-party post with glee!
It does take ages doesn't it... Recently I've also been tinkering about with the html here, having found a very straightforward adviser in Blogger Help, called Ted. Quite fun :)
Hi! Me again! Sorry, you'll be sick of me! Oh, how I struggle with Blogger! Ted, you say? Right, I'll try and remember his name.
It's my birthday (7th June) and I'm having a 1950s virtual birthday party. Please call by if you can!
Oh, this was a fabulous post! I love your pictures and how you put them on both sides of the post. Purple - I LOVE that color and chocolate (goes without saying). I've actually done this post and it took me AGES and agony to do it.
And love your flower too by the way!
Very enjoyable Merry!
Why do they make left-handers into rights?
The Man is left handed and is amazing. However - that being said - everytime he goes to use a spatula I tell him he could do better if he was right-handed. It just throws me off.
It was a great party MM - my head is still aching!
I'm coming to check out yours then Jules :)
Aims, I don't know - we had to sit on our left hands while we scribbled, I remember that clearly :(
Us good old Catholic girls eh? There's a lot to be be said for and against a Catholic education. Great post and now we all know a bit more about you!
Okay my dear, now you've had a nice rest...back to blogging!
Sandi
Hey MOB, yes, another Catholic girl - reading you that figures!!
Sandi, darling Sandi, you're a slave-driver - I was planning on making this last for another fortnight..?!
Thanks for coming to my virtual party, on Saturday. It was great fun, even though I almost put my head through the computer screen, due to frustrations with blogger and pictures etc!
If you would care to choose and tell us more of a book on your shelf then I've nominated you for a Meme. I know you have some books but I don't know if you have the time?
That was a really great way of doing a meme! Time consuming though! The photos etc.
You're welcome MM :). Ha, I cannot imagine you headbutting your screen!! I do know EXACTLY what you mean though...
Lady T, cool! There's you and Sandi encouraging me on - how sweet. I've always got time for nice people, it's just that my brain goes at its snail pace come evening time these days.
I shall come over later and find out all about it. Sorry you haven't found Omar at bridge yet, there's still time, he must be somewhere :)
Hi Maggie, thank you. When I do have time for blogging, I like fiddling about a bit!
Amy is learning the piano and doing really well just now, I learnt as a child.
Impressed with the Anglo Saxon!

MW xxx
Hi Crystal - I was thinking, is that Crystal looking so manly? Last time I saw her on her blog she was beautiful... and then with my glasses on I realised it was Dr Who, ah yes :)
Hi Merlin's Wizard! Thank you! Hugs from one MW to another MW! Reading you makes me smile too :)
Why do so many bloggers seem to have had Catholic educations? Is it the need to confess?
Hmm, I dunno, interesting observation - the private humiliation of original sin, the guilt, the loneliness... the whole concept of the voice that cries out in the wilderness...
And then again, maybe the terrifying nuns all had diplomas in creative writing...
:)
